The 2 methods I'm liking so far are:
sheets of 4 rows of 3
sheets of single cut negs

What methods do y'all use, and why?

4 rows of 3. Neat, clean, and easier than single negs (unless taped to aperture cards which never gets done anymore... but I really liked that method when it was in vogue).

The problem is that you get 10 6x7 pictures out of a 120 roll. To split them in 3 picttures you will get 3 off 3 pictures and 1 off 1.

My way is:
1st section: the film leader and 2 pictures.
2nd and 3rd sections: 3 pictures
4th section: the last 2 pictures plus the remaining film

I shoot 6x9 and 6x6. I probably subconsciously avoided 6x7 all these years due to difficulty with integration to my storage system, so I can offer no advice.

For 6x6 I use the clear file pages with 3 long channels and cut 6x6 negatives in to 3 strips of 4. For 6x9 I use file pages with 4 short channels and cut the negatives into 4 strips of 2. I don't own a 6x7 camera or 6x7 film back by voluntary intention (the format does have many merits, however, especially its geometric relationship to 4x5" format).

The lab I now use returns my 6x7's in 3-3-2-2 in a single plastic sheet. They ship with a hard piece of cardboard to prevent bending. They include a contact print if negatives. Another lab, years ago, use to return them in cut strips of 3 or 4 which stayed flat as well. But before then, another lab returned them in a continuous strip of 10 images and then rolled in a shipping box. That became a real headache due to the curl.

The storing problem with 6x7 was one of the reasons I have always gone back to 6x6. Just one of many reasons I stick with 6x6.

My scanner only takes 2 6x7 in the carrier at a time, because of this I chose the Printfile sleeves that take 2 6x7's or 36x6's ACROSS horizontally not vertically.

That's my choice, even though I print in the darkroom now, I like being able to reserve the option to scan.

Two negatives per strip in the usual medium format negative sleeves.

That means one roll runs over two sheets but that does not bother me.

Some really great suggestions in here, I appreciate you all sharing your methods with me. I will likely go with the oversized sheets and get a binder to match.

Some mentioned storage inconveniences prompting them to avoid or give up on this format and switch to another layout; I've given it a great deal of thought and I think the P67 is the best choice for my needs. While I did enjoy the Rollei SL66 I dislike square, and even in 645 Hasselbad does not meet my requirements.

I would have liked 6x8 or 6x9 but have found nothing that met my needs. So, a P67 is it and I think it will be an excellent choice, especially with so little waste when printing to 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20.

Now I just need to make images worth looking at.

I find this to be the most convenient.

I use Print File sleeves (Style No. 120-4UB).
I do wish though that the sleeve channel width was just a smidge wider, say just 1mm more would be good.

Generally speaking, though, this 3x4 or 4x3 isn't a major problem... rarely are all 10 of my image negs worth archiving.

I was looking for those sheets once before at B and H. Somehow I missed them. I wish my lab with use those instead of shipping 3-3-2-2. My scanner takes three pictures and I usually bracket so I have three shots of each scene. That would really make it convenient for me.(Don't ask me what I do with the tenth shot.)

I don't usually score 100% either, but I have looked again at old work and appreciated images I originally thought were junk. I would hate to toss the wrong one, even though I would never know.

I store mine 3-3-2-2 in a Kenro film sleeve in an extra wide folder. Luckily the film holder for my scanner (V550) just and just holds a strip of three 6x7 negs whilst holding both ends down. Because of this I find scanning strips of 3 6x7s a whole lot easier than a strip of 2, but I don't wan't to have an odd neg left over by doing 3-3-3-1 so it's 3-3-2-2 for me
