Hi all,

I know I am not the only one that buys something, then sell it, and then later buys the same thing again. So here is one new thread - what did you purchased, sold and then purchased again?

I got Olympus XA. Had one 5-6 years ago, as well as XA2. Why I did sold it? I don't remember, but I got one again. What a small cute and great camera it is.

Regards,

The only example of this for me was a Nikkor 105/2.5 AiS lens I sold to fund the purchase of a Micro-Nikkor 105/2.8 and came to regret my ā€œupgradeā€. 30 years later I re-purchased the 105/2.5

I'm on my 3rd Canon EF 100mm f2.8 macro. I have one, then quit using it, sell it, then decide I need one again. Silliness.

Fifty (~) years ago traded my Contaflex super BC for a Canon FT (still have it).
Five years ago bought a Contaflex Super. Then the 35 and the 85 pro-tessars. The S27 and S60 filters, yellow and orange. Then a second and a third body, to secure my investment in lenses and filters. See the picture?

At 40 sold my 8x10 Deardorff, Hasselbad, tripods, everything. At 70 bought a SWC Hassel, 5x7 and 8x10 Deardorff, built a darkroom and having the time of my life.

Around 2006 or 2007, I sold a Leica M3 that I had used for 25 years. It was the stupid interval when I thought digital would be the thing.

Last February, I stopped at Camera Solutions in Portland, Oregon, and asked if they had any interesting film cameras. The salesperson said they had a rather rough M3 that their repair tech had checked and adjusted. Rough? Other than some chipped vulcanite, it was clean clean clean. > 1 mil serial, superb finder.

What to do, what to do? Must resist GAS. Must resist GAS. The M3 came home with me.
