Polls are fun. This isn't. Could a moderator step in and close this thing down please? The poll isn't working properly.

The computer wouldn't take my vote for HP5.

Cute -- it won't let me vote for Tmax. Keeps telling me that I have to select an option before I vote. Which of course I did, but the poll software isn't seeing it. Sigh... So one manual vote for 400Tmax please.

Yeah, can't vote for Tmax. Tried Tri-X and it worked. This bug might affect the results somewhat .

Well in my case it's NOT Tri-X.

First choice used to be Tmax 400, but because it's unavailable where I live I switched to Delta 400 after similar experiences of poor availability in South America. HP5 is very nice in large formats as well.

HP5+ for me, usually, unless it's TMAX, or Delta...

I clicked on several of the choices before HP5+, and it took my vote.

It doesn't work on HP5+ for me. It must work for others though as it already has some votes.

Steve.

This is a bogus poll and it should be deleted!!!!!!

I tried 8 times to select HP5, and I was told that I had not made a valid selection.

Well, this is not a valid poll - delete it!!!!!

I love the way Delta 400 renders high contrast scenes but if I had to choose one 400 film it would have to be Tri X. I just love its look. HP5 is great too but truth be told, I don't have much experience with it.

In short, Tri X gets my vote.

Maybe polls should just be disabled until this is worked out.

What about Arista Premium 400? I like that way better than Tri-X, since it is half the price!

Well yeah, but since it is Tri-X, maybe we can consider that all grouped together. Lucky you though, living in LA with, I suspect, reasonably easy access to Freestyle's brick and mortar store. Oh well, I guess both coasts have their advantages.

I work five blocks from Freestyle....:D

I hope that the OP, or any other interested person, is not going to look at the "result" of this "poll" and say "Gee, look at that - 90% of people prefer Tri-X." The poll is quite clearly broken and has been from the start. Mr Moderator, it should be either fixed or pulled. My vote, which I can't place, is for Neopan.

2F/2F, you are a lucky person to work that close to Freestyle. I live approximately 7,931 miles from there - as the plane flies. If I ever win the lottery - which I won't because I don't buy tickets - I am going to LA to see Freestyle and on to NY to see B&H. Nothing else ;-)

I am afraid that B&H will be far more impressive to the eye. Freestyle is not in shambles or anything; they just have a very narrow niche, so carry nowhere near the number of products or volume as B&H. They have three cabinets full of cameras and a few racks of general photo accessories that no one ever buys because they are too expensive, and a bunch of paper and chemicals. They also have a bunch of inkjet paper on the other side of the store. (That is where all the losers hang out.) All the film is behind the counter or in the back. The great thing about the place is that they have a wide range of paper and chemicals in stock, and the best employees and customer service anywhere that I have encountered in the photo retailer world.
