What is this Guilleminot paper?

Greetings, i`ve been given a huge amount of paper, most i recognise with the exception of these.
3x Guilleminot Guilbrom 8x10, ok but one pack is green, one blue and one orange.
So what is this stuff used for?

I did a little searching and found that the modern Bergger photo company is the successor to the Guilleminot company (I believe that both are French companies). "Guilbrom" is probably a black and white enlarging paper with a bromide emulsion (hence the 'brom' suffix). The different colors may refer to different grades (hard, soft, special/normal). It is probably quite old and fogged but may still be usable with the right developer modifications (I'll admit that I'm an addict of experimenting with old expired papers). What kind of other paper did you get ? -MK

oh, just a little multigrade, 8x10,16x20- 7 packs
ilfobrom 2 & 3 various sizes &weights, velvet stipple 5 packs
ilfospeed gloss 3 packs
Agfa brovia 8x10 4 packs
Gallerie 8x10 2 packs


what i have tested so far is good.
Yeah, i could havve done some searching but i`m a lazy sod sometimes,
French is correct as they are labelled as vert, bleu,and fluro orange, odd, i thought the french would have their own word for orange, hehe.
Looks like i`m about to `experiment' with old expired paper.

I believe they use to manufacturer the original Zone VI paper as well.

My Zone VI fixed grade stash says Made in France, and the Variable Contrast Printing Manual I believe supports your suspicion also.

Guillemont was the oldest maker of light sensitive materials in the world up their demise in the late 80's or early 90's; they made the original Zone Vi papers. The Bergger company has little to do with the old except that I believe one of the founders was a chemist there and took the formulas...
