Was just messing around, I like the beat look, tells a story immediately.

Did someone say ugly cameras? I specialize in those. Look at these dogs:

My WWII U.S. Navy Torpedo Camera.
6x18 on 120 film.
Originally came with a 5" Ross Xpres barrel lens, and it had a 'Venetian blind' shutter....used for training TBM/ TBF Avenger pilots.
I got it as an unfinished 'kludge'...
I adapted a Fuji lens (Oh, the irony!) to it, and got a custom finder from the Cameradactyl folks.
My next plan is to convert this to pinhole, since I have an Art Panorama 6x17 back setup for my 4x5, which is far less cumbersome to use.

My current and only camera ,,,, Calumet c-1. It’s light tight though, and the lenses I use are super sharp. But the camera is “You,Gee, Elle, Why, ….. you ain’t got no alibi, you ugly, ya ya you ugly😮

What the???

Well the original poster did ask for ugly, and I did sell cameras for more than twenty years , this one was commonly called Darth Vader.

I think you can have my Minolta Maxxum 9xi for $10 plus shipping. Good luck with your Leica.

Thank you for the camera, Chan Tran! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder for sure. I think the 9xi looks great. The biggest problem that I have with it is how addictive it is to just turn it on and point it at different things to watch it autofocus. I think I'm going to run the battery down doing that before I have a chance to shoot a roll of film in it. Too fun.

My rattie Ani Speed Graphic is perhaps the ugliest shooter I own, , missing viewfinders, rangefinder, handle strap, with the leather of the flip up tin ground glass back half on, half off, and a fixed leaf spring back.

The curtain is still good, but I want/need to recheck the shutterspeed's times, as it's been years since I shot models, people freehand using an open barrel lens.

I still like this camera a lot, it's 4x5" and I have plenty of film holders, but I'd like to find a 5x7" hand holdable view camera, this brand or another, like the late Master Technical (when that winning lottery ticket emurges from my pocket) but until then this is ok.

It's no that I do no like 4x5" but 5x7"contact prints and paper negatives are a more viewable size, like 8x10", and a good format in general.

Ugly, sure, but it's an ugly I could spend a lifetime with and feel lucky to have it all the while.

Godspeed and Cheers to All!

This has got to be the ugliest camera ever?

+1
On the other side I once tried a chinese Rolleicord copy (Seagull) that was not looking that bad, but felt ugly and smelled badly. And it was a new camera (!).
