So what do you call all those thousands of people at photokina or Arles Photography Festival or photo workshops or university photo courses? You may have a point, but then again...

Considering the great amounts of money that photographers spend on the "right" item, usually something that we want more than need, (guilty of that myself), maybe it should be called an "insolvency or bankruptcy of photographers" ......

What is the ciollective noun for a group of photographers?

I was just just wondering if their is a collective noun for a group of photographers.

Your suggestions please. Anything goes and maybe specific for landscape or still life or portrait etc photographers.

I have heard and seen the term "pack" like a "pack" of "photo hounds" or a "pack" of papparazzi (sp).....Regards!

Actually there is a real collective noun for a group of photographers - as anyone who attended Professor Margaret Harker's history of photography lectures at the Polytechnic of Central London will know.

It is a clique of photographers.

Why - haven't got a clue but there you are!

Bests,

David.

Is that the American or English spelling? I've always seen it as "phlokkinaucinihilipilification"

first thought that came to mind was "gaggle."

What is the old saying about "great" minds thinking alike? "Gaggle" was the first word that came to my mind also. But if Ms Harker said the correct term was "clique" then "clique" it is. That was one smart lady..........Regards!
