I was just just wondering if their is a collective noun for a group of photographers.

Your suggestions please. Anything goes and maybe specific for landscape or still life or portrait etc photographers.

I do not know. As photographers typically work on themselves there likely is no such noun.

I propose "photo-collective".

In the humorous sense of words of venery I propose a "click" of photographers. This also plays on a reference to the French word clique meaning an exclusive group.

Gerald, hadn't you referred to that pun I wouldn't have seen it (slow on the uptake).
But now I like it!

So a COC would be a group of male photographers then?

Of course if we consider a collective noun for photographers who frequent fora and other internet presences we could adopt the old AGFA name of "CLACK"...

"Oh, look at that huge COC"... or, "Hey, look at that little COC". Nah... doesn't sound quite right to me. If that becomes the norm, I'll never 'hang' with other photographers.

I think it would be a venery of fine art nude photographers.

i would vote for "scrum," with all the horrors that are rugby-related thereto, at least if referring to a bunch of news photographers each trying to win a pulitzer.

Ever been in the middle of one of those things? I have. It's ugly.
