What is Pentax (Ricoh) committing to?

Pentax used to be the brand name camera and Ricoh made cameras sold under other names like Sears that used Pentax K mount lenses.

Ricoh also made very good cameras under their own name, starting with rangefiders, then SLR's first with Nikon F mount (a rare collectable today) and then switching to the Pentax K mount

Actually, Ricoh used the Pentax screw mount until the K mount came out. I started with a Ricoh Singlex TLS with the screw mount in 1971. The identical camera was sold as a Sears, and perhaps other, brand.

I had forgot about the M42 mount Ricohs, Always considered Ricohs an under appreciated company, I still have a XRP and XR2
