For a while I have been doing wetplate using Scilly and Ostermans formula. I would add 220ml of collodion to 140 ml ether into a bottle (the mix is clear) then add the 140ml of salts and alcohol last. Now this fogs up, but usually settles down to a clear solution.
This time it hasn't. It has a haze to it that has not appeared before and it is not settling out. I'm guessing my alcohol (everclear )may have picked up too much water somewhere, but what can I do to clear up the mix. I don't feel like randomly adding this and that.
Thanks in advance
Robet
