Yesterday I shot a 20 exposure roll of Panatomic-X in 35mm and finished a 36 exposure Delta 100 Minox roll. So now I have the negatives, but my 35mm scanner started making noises like a rock crusher (a small plastic gizmo inside broke) and most of them I have no desire to print, so it may be awhile before they are seen!

The last one was another spool of 120 Kodak Ektar. I think this is going to be my favourite when shooting colour.

Next one is a test run of the Lomo 400.

Mostly using Kodak T-MAX 100 right now.

Recently learned that using a pinch of sodium sulfite in the wash will clear the magenta color. Also learned that Amazon sells it. Still buying it from Photographer's Formulary though.

Exactly Pioneer. I got mine from amazon because of prime. Was running out of film for a shoot I had in April.

Shot since April:
-Arista Edu, 2 rolls of Agfa Vista 200 their c41 film, arista in 120 size, Tmax100, and some old trix from the 80's

I wonder if that sodium sulfite trick would work with acros. Even after a long wash, it turns my photoflo slightly pink. Weird that the pink comes off after just a minute in the photoflo, but not much in a longer water soak just before that. It probably doesn't matter, I can't see any pink on the final results and they print just fine.

Worth a shot. I have never tried it with Acros since I have only used one roll. I do have one sitting on the shelf waiting to be used so I may give it a try to see what happens.

Back in the 70s a few employees used to refer to those as Kodak Buena Vistas.

The Park was still young then, being only 17 years old when I started in 1972, and Kodak was everywhere. Two of the employees I worked with during my first week had been hired by Walt Disney himself, before his passing in 1966. I even personally met him once in Tomorrowland when I was 11 years old. Seven years later I started college and was working there for rent and food money.

Sadly, those Buena Vistas became just another unfortunate victim of the Kodak bankruptcy. See below for more details (and a cool little slideshow). The article notes that Kodak was one of only three remaining original sponsors present since Opening Day in 1955.

Do any of the famous old Kodak Picture Spots remain? Or are they all gone now? I used to love them and often they even had a sample photo posted for inspiration.

No they canceled that sponsorship in 2012. And I for one miss it. Now it's more of a hassle to get good shots because people don't line up and wait they just go. The only thing analog would be the photo shop shop on main that looks old timey but has a nikon sponsorship.

A roll and two-thirds (more or less:22 exposures on the second roll) of 35mm HP5+ in my Soverized F2AS, in inclement weather, today atop the mountain and nearby beside the seaside. Rainy, a little chilly, windy...but who cares: everyday is a good day to get out and walk around with the camera...
