It seems I prefer the actual process of photography more than my end result. How do others feel?

hi ces1um
while i take photographs for others and sell things when i can for $$
i have more personal photography than professional photography i slog through
some family stuff some fun stuff some not so easy stuff .. and some of it
locked up as latent images that may never see chemistry. more and more im more and
more selfish... i like the act of exposing something or seeing what something looks like on film and paper
both for its permanence and impermanence, for the labor to make it and for the short time to move on to the next one.

Like others, I put most of the small prints into albums. Sometimes, an 8x10 or 11x14 will get framed and matted and displayed or given to friends/family. I also have a few large storage bins of prints that did not make it into albums or have not yet been "gone through"....and then there are the years of negatives that are waiting to be printed...those are filed and stored in the downstairs fridge.

oh, and sometimes, I scan and post stuff on line - mostly just to share with friends and family.

I try to place them as donations with institutions and curated collections. I also put a lot of them online.

This morning I contacted 8 online digital libraries to see if they had an interest.

As was noted previously, world with flooded with photos. Always tough going, unless you are very lucky, very talented and / or have a special project.
