What camera to take for going on a walk?

XA, XA4 or a Leica CL (I see that option was posted). Very lightweight, packs a great punch. I am partial though to the CL with the 40 cron, such a great lens and I like the slightly wider normal for a walk. Otherwise, I have the XA with color and XA4 with B&W, one in each pocket (or vs versa on film/back). 3rd option is a barnack leica, also super small and I love twisting on the knobs for winding. However having a meter has it's benefits...the barnack for me is for SLOW walks, the other 3 are for quick grabs and pocketable.

I was given that as my first serious camera and I took it to the New York World's Fair 1964 and learned to about using the depth of field scales since it did not have a range finder. I did buy a range finder attachment and a light meter. It got damaged a few years later and recently I added on to my mob.

I've got both XA and XA2, and both are great. I prefer the XA2 for casual strolling though, because I don't have to think much about distance setting or aperture setting. As much as I welcome the possibility to have control over that, sometime I just don't want to think and just point and shoot

Ended up taking a Klasse W. Great camera but not worth the price from a technical standpoint. None of these expensive P&S are, but it is driven what the market can bare.

That's the version I have. Even have a nifty Pentax Case for it.

It was a lark. "Used to work, but now it isn't" so I gambled. I fixed it by putting in batteries that weren't dead. It works great! Even the remote works well.

I'll pass it on soon enough. Like my work record, it's a fun enough camera, and light enough to haul with me anywhere. But I have some really nice cameras, so the biggest win is the feeling that I got a nice camera basically for free because someone couldn't be bothered to try fresh batteries.

I bought two in mint shape with the original cases. One for $16 and one for $20-ish. Yes, very underrated and inexpensive.

No. I wanted to keep this as sleek and uncluttered as possible.
