What camera is this? My wife found this image on the Internet and asked me but I was unable to answer her question.

My guess is that it is a Pentacon - a medium format camera.

By chance, there is a recent APUG thread.on a similar model.. (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Very weird.

It is a "mirrored version" of the Pentacon Six.

Yep - a poorly photoshopped mirror image. You can see that they didn't bother to reverse the word "color" and the 12 & 24 markings after they flipped it.

They also didn't bother to copy over and modify the ASA DIN dial, as that would've been too much work. Instead, they duplicated the film-type reminder dial.

Amateurs and hacks. My colleagues and I did much better than that ten years ago.

Your wife din't find it on the Internet, it's today's re-start up screen for Windows 10, I can't see anything wrong with the image. Earlier they used an image of an Exacta which was quite nice, well actually quite good

My PC is a different screen ratio and gets entirely different images, my general comment is Microsoft are using some superb images yesterday's was from Edinburgh.

Easy challenge. Pentacon Six TL... With Carl Zeiss Jena Biometar 80mm f2.8

BUT, BUT BUT...

That camera usually has the shutter button on the right hand. Yours shows the button at the left hand and the controls are inverted (film advance, shutter speed dial). That is very strange!

Exas, Exacta, and several other East German cameras has shutter releases on the left side of the camera. Something that is preferred by some left handed photographers since they are the only ones in the right mind.
