Everyone claims that the Philips combines light weight, capability, and enough rgidity. But I almost never see them for sale, and when I do I can't afford it.

The FS was probably one I sent in on a trade. If it is, it’s been serviced.

When my grandfather passed about a decade ago the family threw out his 'german camera' he was a Holocaust survivor and his kids just assumed it was junk and who'd want a icky German camera?

Well, it turns out it was a Leica and the story of the Leica Freedom Train surfaced. So, I'm missing a 1940's era Leica in my collection.

That's such a sad story in multiple fronts isn't it.
 
I'm not really missing anything in 35mm since I don't shot 35mm very much at all. I wouldn't mind having my Konica T & T3 with all my good Konica glass. The 21mm Konica lens was fantastic. I kept an early original Leicaflex with 28mm through 180mm to take the Konica's place. I have pretty much all bases covered in medium format as well.
I suppose if there is one camera I really miss it would be my Kodak 2D 8X10 with the 12" Commercial Ektar mounted in one of those large Iris lens boards. I loved that camera, but most of all the Iris lens board. I could mount almost any lens I wanted in just a few seconds. If I can find another Iris lens board at a reasonable price it will go on my B&J 8X10.

Yes. While he didn't take the Train I'm convinced he knew about it. The survivor community was very small. He never spoke much about what he went through. I know he avoided German products his whole life. If he had a Leica he had a good reason to have one. I think I got my photography bug from him. Would have been nice to use his camera and pass it on down. At least I got the story.
 
I've been missing my hasselblads like crazy last few weeks. At one point I had 2 that I would carry around.
 
I had an xpan over 20 years ago and sold it. Recently I found one for a very good price with 45mn and 30mm lens. So not missing anything at this point.

But I moved to another part of the country and left the Xpan with its owner. I'm hesitant to buy one because of the possibility of an electronic failure. Maybe a Linhof 612?

Ran some 35mm through a 6x9 120 roll film holder on my 2x3 Century Graphic. It ain't a Xpan but it's pretty wide and I can shoot it hand held.
 
Original Konica Auto-Reflex. One that allowed taking full frame and half frame photos. It's rare and the price is unjustifiably high for me.

Oh yes please! I'm a big Konica fan and this one's missing from my collection. With one or two exceptions their whole range is very underrated.

it's one of the few 35mm lenses I really regret selling. If I knew it would live up to its reputation on my Sony A7RII I'd buy one as soon as I found a clean example, but older wide angle lenses do not play well with the Sony full-frame cameras.

Been looking for one of these for years.

I'd also like a Robot to fall into my lap. I like square format photos.
 
Xpan, a SWC, or Widelux F8.

The last of these isn't very expensive, and I think Jeff Bridges is participating in a new version. So, it's not cost as much as, really, I have way too many film cameras. My problem is paralysis: which do I take out? I run through some really attractive cameras--including my Mamiya 7--and in the end always seem to pick up my HB 500 c/m. So what would another camera do for me?
 
There are two 35mm cameras I wouldn't mind having - a Nikon F2 with the plain unmetered prism and a 50mm f1.4 or one of the 55 1.2 lenses, and a Leica M (not super picky about which version) with a 50mm f1.4 and/or 35mm f1.4. Those are "missing" in the sense that I don't have them, but would like to. There's no urgency to either one as I have the SLR itch scratched by either my Contax RTS III or my Canon F1 (old). As to a camera I used to have, but do not now, but would like to have again, a Hasselblad Superwide would be more than welcome to come home with me some day.
 
I'd love an OM 3 to go with my 4Ti, but that like an Xpan won't be happening any time soon. Maybe a Planar version Rolleiflex to go with my Tessar.
