Yeah I recently picked up a nice condition Nikon F100 with 35-105 zoom for $170 incl shipping., the F100 was originally $2000 equivalent in 2015 dollars for just the body alone.Thankful for the film resurgence going on, yet, prices for high-end SLRs continue to drop. I just got this EOS-1V body for $250 from a guy in Japan in MINT condition! And just for good measure, I also found an EOS-1N in mint condition for $99 too!
I had a Nikon F5 years ago, but hated the fact that you were stuck with that bottom grip to house the EIGHT AA batteries! That was a serious brick to carry around. I use my EOS cameras with no battery grip and the standard 2CR5 battery and they're not so large. I think Canon got the design right with those!
Nearing 90! And I keep hearing the youngsters grouse about DSLRs being SO heavy! I enjoy my relatively miniature Linhof 617s.(7x17!@90!).You're a better man than I.I have wished for years that I could find a 5x12 Korona and a couple of holders. Nearing 90, the 7x17 is getting a little heavy and bulky for me.
I mean I'm pretty sure I had those same buttons on some all-in-one crappy 1980s stereo system from kmart![]()
Just to satisfy my curiosity, I'd like to take a spin with a DS M3. All the hype and accolades from the fanboys (and actual Leica shooters) have piqued my interest. Not that I need one, what with a pair of M6s in my arsenal, but if a body came along at the right price...
Nikon FM3A. If I have to explain you may not understand.
I would like to use a Mamiya Six (new one and folder) for a while.
But most of all I would like to get me a decent 5x7" field camera. I like this format for contact printing and would like to make Calotypes and salt prints with paper negatives.

Canham? Not cheap though IIRC.
Nothing now. I was not really thinking about buying any camera equipment or lens and I received an email from KEH that I could get a 20% discount on one purchase if I took their survey about the new website design. I took the survey and got the code word. I looked at KEH and found that there was a Hasselblad lens which I did not have ==> the Hasselblad f/8 C 500mm lens. Now I have the lens, and the leather lens case. With the lens and the 2X extender I have a 1,000mm MF lens which is equivalent to a 625mm lens for a 35mm camera.
Back to having no camera of lens desires. I am back to living a GAS free life.

Don't be so sure, pitiful human. GAS freedom is but a temporary illusion.
I have not bought a camera since 2009. Before this last purchase it has been at least four years since I bought a lens.
In the coming year, as my finances recover from a divorce, I plan to replace my creaky problem-laden Technika III with some kind of new 4x5 field camera but I'm not THAT picky. I don't need a high end Ebony etc. Tachihara, Shen-Hao or Chamonix all fit my needs. I'll get one of those, most likely.
I really want/lust after a Rolleiflex. I really like and enjoy using my Yaschicmat 124. In fact it's probably the single most "fun to use" camera I have. I like TLRs and I'd like to have the best.
