what about the fuc***g Smartphone....& Social Networks? There starts the death of photography.... at least as we always knew it....

I carry the idea (not original I'm sure) that 5 artists re-wrote the rule book for modern popular music, they are:
Elvis Presley
Bob Dylan
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Jimmy Hendrix
Everything else is derivative
(I'm not a big fan of Hendrix but understand his impact)

I started thinking about the Top 5 in camera game changers and came up with this:
The Leica 1
The Leica M3
The Hasselblad 500C
The Rolleiflex 2.8E
The Nikon F

What are your top 5?
Helmut Newton
Hasselblad 501c
NikonD800
RHDesigns Zome Masterwith f/stop timing
Mamiya 6
Carl Zeiss Optics
TMax filmsand Ilford papers

Going back to the original post, I'd swap out the Hasselblad 500C for the original Hasselblad, the 1600F. That set the paradigm for interchangeable lens medium format SLRs.

Camera Obscura
Henry Talbot Fox
Daguerreotype
George Eastman & roll film
Kodak Brownie
Graflex Speed Graphic
Barnack Leica

roll film box camera
roll film reflex/TLR
35mm SLR, MF SLR

Amazed no one wrote "spectral sensitization" so far. Before it, emulsions were only blue sensitive. SS made panchromatic film and COLOR processes possible.
