Emaks K888, Forte polywarmtone and Foma Fomatone - all fiber
 
For some work I prefer a Chlorobromide paper for a warm-tone effect such as the ILFORD Warm-Tone multigrade glossy.
Other times I prefer to work with a Bromochloride paper which I believe is more characteristically neutral in colour such as the ILFORD Galerie Ilfobrom glossy in grade 03 and the Art 300 paper, all papers are fibre based.
 
12 year old thread but I see the Ilford and Bergger papers were preferred back in 2006 at least in this thread. In order of preference for me: Bergger VC CB Warm and slow, Ilford MGFB Warmtone glossy, Ilford MGFB Classic, Bergger VC NB, Ilford Art 300 for special projects. The Bergger papers have a very slight edge in tonal qualities, image depth, and paper weight but are usually more expensive than the Ilford products. For sepia + selenium toning, Ilford warmtone offers more flexibility of color from golden to chocolate depending on the Thiourea to Sodium Hydroxide mix and tones beautifully in Nelsons Gold toner. MGFB classic seems to take on slightly different tone/glossiness depending on developer. I have not experimented with cooler tone papers but they are on my mind. In the 90s Oriental had lovely blue blacks.
 
Emulsionand thus tone or exposure time is the same. 132 has a matte surface, 532 has a textured one. I like both.

I prefer to use ILFORD Ilfobrom Galerie Glossy Grade 03; ILFORD WarmTone FB MG & sometimes ILFORD Art 300.

The 532 is similar to the old Oriental Portrait if you remember that. When I finish off all my Ektalure, then the 532 will be my first choice to replace it as well.
 
Yesterday I tried for the first time Fomatone 131 FB and Bergger Warmtone FB (both glossy), developed in Ilford Bromophen and toned in selenium.
While Fomatone 131 changes the tone to chocolate brown easily, I did not notice any tone change for Bergger Warmtone. That was a strange observation, compared to e.g. Ilford Warmtone and ADOX variotone papers I toned previously. I really liked Bergger Warmtone paper though, it is fantastic.
 
Recently started printing on Kentmere Fineprint and like it a lot. After a few minutes in Selenium and Sulfur (Polysulfide, not Thiourea) it has a beautiful dark-brown-purple tone that I like a lot!
