they are used for dispensing children's medication with a blunt syringe. Available at any drugstore, cheap. Also fits rodinal bottles quite well.
 
Its not a special cap that you need, its an "adaptor" that comes packaged with a childs medicine dosing syringe. I picked up mine at the local pharmacy for less than $3. The syringe is marked in ml. The brand name on it is "EZY DOSE" 10ml oral syringe with dosage korc(sic)--VERY HANDY little gadget!! I just ran into my dr and looked at my spare--its priced at $1.89.

In Canada we pharmacists call them plastic amber prescription bottles. Made by Jones Packaging. Glass also available. Ask your local pharmacist if they can order you some.

I told a pharmacist what I needed and why. She gave me a couple amber glass prescription bottles saying that she had always wanted a dark room but had never had the time. She thought it was great I was doing this in my retirement. It gave her hope that she might still do it. Strange where are dreams are, and that some can be satisfied so cheaply.
