Whadizit. help me identify this large bayonet. Large format?

It is about 95mm wide with 74mm inside diameter 'throat' area. Anyone recognize it?

That could be a Pentacon 6 bayonet lens mount ring, but let me get home tonight and measure the Kiev 60 to compare.

Agreed--further digging in the deep storage closet turned up a CZJ 120 I'd forgotten I had. Looks like it's a good inch smaller...

You know, Raf of RafCamera (https://rafcamera.com/) might be able to help you identify this mount. He deals with all manner of adapters and might recognize the mount.

I get a feeling that it might very well be a FSU (former Soviet Union) type mount, just from the look of it.

Looked at Ebay pics from several sellers and ruled out most of the common medium format systems. Bronica, mamiya universal, mamiya RB, Kiev 6, Kiev 88, Pentax 67, Pentacon 6, None of the above.

A good suggestion, but it's not. I looked at a Fujica GL mount (camera side, the lenses are breechlock with the flanges on inner side of the circle) and it's about 65mm clear aperture, and it has two slots for the camera-lens linkages (shutter cocking, and firing), while this has one.

The size of 74mm inner diameter and the single slot are clues, but not sure to what. It has to be something quite large to have such a big throat and mount. It has a large partial circle slot which is probably for a shutter cocking action, suggesting a leaf shutter system at least partially coupled to the camera body. (Focal plane shutter cameras like the Kiev SLRs don't have or need such a slot.) My guess is something like a Combat Graphic 70mm (does this use leaf shutters?), or maybe Graflex XL, but I have never touched one or looked at the lens mount.

It has a large partial circle slot which is probably for a shutter cocking action,

When I saw that, I thought "automatic aperture" like you'd see on M42 lenses.

BTW, the Combat Graphic mount is nowhere near this size. The whole camera is similar in overall build and size to a "Texas Leica", with a lens mount close to the image width of the film. Further, the bayonet lugs are on the fixed portion mounted to the body -- see this eBay listing.
