Weston's Amidol

Has anyone used the formulas that use 20 grams , or more, of amidol? If so is there a noticable difference in the print?

Each one of the Westons had their own variation of an Amidol developer. So it is always important to specify which one.

Ed's formula calls for 10.5 grams of Amidol, Brett's calls for 40 grams. I'm just wondering if anyone has used 40 grams of Amidol in one tray of developer? If so we're the results so different / wonderful that it is / was worth ~ $30 of chemistry to mix it "Brett's way"?
