Today, my good friends Josh S. and Todd Stewart helped me build my first darkroom in my garage. It is 8.5 feet x 14 feet and includes 14 feet of counter top on the dry side for my two enlargers.

I have the little things left like paint and moldings but it is done for the most part.

Thanks to Todd Stewart and Josh for their help.

I will post pictures tomorrow after I get some sleep.

Is the paneling Cherry, Oak or Mahogany? Terrazzo floor or Granite? Give us the details. You used insulation paint I hope. What kind of espresso bar is in there and do you have a nice sofa to kick up while waiting for the stand development to happen?

Have fun, like you won't,

Curt

I woke up to a very sore back this morning. I'm getting old.

I guess I will just have to go lay out on my leather couch and have Jeeves cook me up a double latte while my APX 100 developes in rodinal 1:200 .

I know the feeling - after having remodelled my darkroom to take a Devere 504, my back was darned sore. It was worth it though!
14' that's a nice sized room. I'm jealous as my darkroom is what estate agents would call "compact and bijou" or "deceptively spacious"

Nice web site by the way - your images have a lovely luminous quality to them.

Wow! Sounds huge to me since I use a converted closet. You will almost certainly waste many sheets of expensive photo paper in that room. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone. I am very proud. This is a big commitment as you all can image. New house, new darkroom, wedding soon. Wow.

It's 11pm and I just came in from painting. I am exhausted.
