Alright I know there has been alot said but searching around here for my answer is driving me crazy so im posting.
All my chem I mix with distilled then I do a pre rinse in distilled then I hypo clear made with distilled. the first time the print is in contact with the well water is the final rinse. When that's done the paper looks evenly stained a light brown. I am using ilford warmtone with warmtone developer I am doing the same with everything as I was at another location the only thing that has changed is the final rinse water. It is now from a well that is high in iron and sulphur. Also I noticed if I took the print straight from the fix to the well water the water started to turn brown in the tray and the stain would swirl around like when you drop ink in water. I already have 5 micron filters on both taps but that is not filtering the minerals. What can I do so my prints do not stain, what is staining them? Is it a reaction with the fix? Please help I need to figure this out and get some water treatment system in asap.
Thanks in advance
all the best mike
