I posted my site back in December and got some good response - at the time I was thinking of changing to a whole new layout. I did, but now that I've finished all the tinkering I can think of, I'm thinking of changing the layout again...
Boredom and knowledge is a dangerous thing. So I figured that meant it was time to see what people thought.
Site: Dead Link Removed
The gallery is divided into two menus, colour and black and white. Each photo records the film and camera used, how many times the image has been viewed, and sometimes a comment.
On the left is a "Relevant Photo" thingy. This either responds to groupings I've made manually, or when there is no grouping, it selects a random photo based on some pretty basic criteria. It was meant to encourage people to look deeper into the gallery.
The rest of the site is pretty straight forward and hopefully bug free. The one thing I've yet to do is expose it to a html/css validator. As I mess with it so regularly, I don't really see it as complete enough.
But I'm interested to hear what photographers think - if my tinkering has made it easier or harder to browse images, or just the general quality of it all.
