It that case even though we will be at 119 and 120 F next few days, just 15 degrees above our normal, not a heat wave.

Yesterday and today in Hamburg was really unusual stormy weather: almost 30 degC, but with strong wind, ice with rain, pulling trees out of the ground, blocking regional trains and makink traffic chaos !

Hovering between 30c to 35c (95f) in the shade, normal for this time of year (in a few weeks we can expect 40c/105f for at least a few days), although the last two weekends in a row we've been treated to rain - grr. Hopefully this weekend is looking good. Glorious blue skies and sunshine anyway - makes me wish I had some Kodachrome*...

* Strictly speaking I do; so I suppose I should say makes me wish I had a way to process it!

This cold front is interesting. I see in North Dakota there is a part of the state where towns where it's 89F and ones where it's 57F are only an hour apart

Currently enjoying what I'm assuming is a last ditch effort of summer to hold on for as long as possible.

83F atm.

Experienced severe flooding here in mid-July (~12k damage in the basement), took a few weeks to get everything back on a normal track, so lost a good chunk of time there where we couldn't take advantage of the season.

Then we had a bit of an unseasonable cold spell, so that sucked. But now it's beautiful and should stay that way into next week.

Here in southwestern Illinois, we're getting what we should have had in mid-August: mostly sunny, a little humid, and 95º-- missed the St. Louis record high by 1º earlier this afternoon. The next four days look similar, but we're living on borrowed time; cooler and worse will be with us all too soon.

Snowing (sort of) in Vancouver, at the moment. Woke up to a bit of sun, followed later by a light drizzle. Don't expect this to last. Should be out the door with a Leica and some Tri-X/HP5+, but the only black and white on hand is some PanF+ in 120. Time for a major B&H or Adorama film order.

39 F here in Seattle--apparently they were expecting a 20% chance of snow this morning in the city. For whatever reason, near-freezing in Seattle feels to me like it's almost as cold as Milwaukee when it was in the teens/20's, Either I've lost the thick(er) skin I built up over the past few years, don't have enough body fat, or the higher humidity here in the winter saps your warmth away quicker than the low humidity in the Midwest.

For the life of me I still don't understand how my wife and I keep shocking each other--there's so much static in our unit. I figure the carpet must have been installed incorrectly because we never had issues like this in the Midwest, where it's generally known you'll build up some static charges in the dry heat of winter, particularly if you have carpeting.

We have been getting our weather from you lately. While I have seen snow still on the ground here on Christmas Day, I have never seen it snow on that day. Sooooo, keep it coming, South Texas, the temperature will be right, just need the moisture. I would prefer the moisture go to Southern California though........Regards and Merry Christmas!
