Recently I have finished "testing" of a waterproofing compound that has worked *Very* well.

It is "KIWI Protect-all" from the shoe polish company, Kiwi.

The label reads "Everyday water and stain protection for fine leather and fabric shoes." Further, it is recommend for Nylon.

I have a favorite, pure white, hooded nylon jacket, which was anything BUT waterproof. I sprayed that with this stuff, and the results were remarkable - it will NOT get wet, period, exclamation point. In addition there was NO change of any sort in the color, "feel" or BREATHEABILITY - in fact, I think that it is equal to, or even SUPERIOR to "Gore-Tex" (I have one of those as well), at a fraction of the cost.

In my book - GOOD stuff - in fact, excellent!

I can see hundreds of application in photography - and fly fishing. I'll comment about cross-country ski clothing when the season gets here.

Thanks for the information Ed. I wonder how long it will last before you have to re-apply it?
