water filtration system for darkroom sink

hello,

i run a public darkroom in Asheville, NC. We are installing a new sink into the darkroom and are curious about installing a water filtration system along with it. Does anyone have any suggestions on brands or types? Thanks!

Google Intellifaucet if you are interested in temperature control as well. If all you need is filters, most hardware stores have inline filters for sale.

Your water treatment will depend a lot on your water source. In my case, I filter the water coming to the darkroom with a simple filter from a hardware store, and then use an old thermostatic valve which gives me decent water for washing and most other things. I still mix my developer and fixer from distilled water.
I live in a big city and have fairly hard water.

The filter housings are standardized, the differences are in the filter media, though there are housings that are specifically made for use on hot water supply lines.
I am on a well, and filter both hot and cold water to my DR sink.
Note that filters won't do anything for water hardness, they only take out particulates.

I have a primitive home made setup. I have my filter after the hot/cold mixer so I only need one filter, and my thermometer is downstream from the filter. Got the filter at the hardware store.
