You are going much further AgX. I'm probably going to only dispute this on Paypal and that's it. If I get even a bit of scratch for the sellers reputation on Paypal side, that is enough. They have stolen my time & money and I think they deserve it.
I do not understand why the sellers need to go through this way. I'm pretty sure it must be cheaper to just refund incorrect products & apologize - instead of wasting time arguing with customers. Especially on case where they have made the clear mistake. For me personally this is some kind of sunken-cost-fallacy situation. I've traveled to post office to pick the package, emailing back and fort with "proof" that I got wrong products (as if they didn't know it) etc.
I actually don't know if I would even need to return the products at all by Finnish law. If I remember correctly the seller need to come pick the products but I do not even need to carry those to postal office. The law is really on side of customer on these kind of cases anyways.[/QUOTE
Refunds and rebates are a good sales gimmick. Companies know about 30% will actually be used. And if you make it a finacial indisposition to get a refund for something, then the person is NOT going to get a refund.
Ie, if a part costs 3$ and it would cost 5$ in return shipping to the manufacturer to get the refund, who is going to take the 2$ loss on the shipping?
