Yeap! I like them and they are relatively cheap. In the UK, you can get them at about £3.60 for both PAN and Kentmere. Foma is cheaper.
BTW, the last Fomapan 400 135-36 cassettes I saw aren't DX coded. I bet they run out of the Ferrania cassettes they had!

Not correct: Kentmere films were introduced by Harman in 2009, after they purchase the former Kentmere brand. So, they are quite new emulsions. They were introduced first in the USA, then in Europe as a cheaper line to Ilford's range. It is a marketing device, in order not to tarnish the Ilford brand.
Ilford PAN range was introduced around 2000(there's a question mark here as my PDF file was released in 2002) in countries where the Ilford brand was not as popular as in the USA or Europe.

Thanks - now I know. I have used Kentmere papers before though. What is the Kentmere 400 emulsion like? I've just ordered 3 rolls, but they won't get here for a couple of weeks.

It is nice cubic grain modern film though different from HP5+ or Tri-x, use at same ISO as either.
It should still be usable, & better than the APX400S (surveillance film PET base) I use on dull days.

If you are not going to use it some one else in Aus (or NZ) may pay more than postage for it. If you have it in fridge it holds up ISO and fog pretty good.
It may be on a cine style reel for 100 foot (rather then a core) which is useful for other bulk.

Foma 400's results are all over the net. Google it. My prints show the issue so well that I avoid that film at all cost.

Ive not had any problems with Foma 100, 200 and 400 in 120, factory cassettes and bulk from about 2008 - when I started using it with expiry dates from 2008. I meter at the datasheet speeds and shoot a lotta film.

Have you thought about a course in shooting and processing film?

Confirmed it is a super pan film but Id not try a deep red filter with it.
Lots of people would like a cheap super pan.
I can expect a stampede from the orange or red filter people now you have released the info.

Peaks about 680nm... so well short of SFX

FYI skin tone is a very subjective call but the Foma100 is nearer pan better than box ISO, just and even cheaper.

That's very rude to Xmas.

Having an extra sensivity to the red is a very good thing for me. I would guess you have not used an orange or red filter to good effect? For me the BEST about Foma 400 is the extra red sensitivity. And the fact that it's very cheap doesn't hurt.

Finally, i have never had any problem with Fomapan 100 and 400, always consistent.
The datasheet is very explicit on how Fomapan 400 interacts with different developers. It's all up to the user from there...
