Wards ep504 (Konica Auto SE) repair needed.

Hi all,

I have a pristine Wards ep 504 that needs a minor repair that I don't feel qualified to attempt myself. The negative terminal in the battery compartment came loose and fell out. It is just a tiny screw that I cannot seem to thread back in. The camera top cap will need to come off to get to it.

Does anyone know of a very competent and careful repairman who can fix this for me? I can't bear to have this buggered up in any way since it doesn't have a scratch on it.

Secondarily, does anyone know where I can get a battery adapter for the camera or another method that allows the use of modern batteries?

Here's two potential battery replacement solutions, but they are in the UK:

MR-50 Adapter. Replacement for PX1, RM1, H-P or MR50 discontinued Mercury cells.

LR50 PX1 E1N RM-1N PX1 MR50 PX1A A1PX PC1A RPX1 EPX1 RM1 RMIN V1PX H-P BMR50 mercury replacement alkaline batteries.

Repairs: I would imagine Zack's (a sponsor) would be able to do that repair:

Good to know! I have a black cosmetically very nice Konica C35 whose focus ring turns freely without engaging the rangefinder. I'm not sure if it's worth fixing but it's a little beauty. Maybe he could help with that as well.

It's not a Konica, but I also have a very nice black Nikon FE that is on the fritz. The mirror doesn't return and it's a magic act to get the shutter to fire even with fresh batteries. Do you think Zack is a good go-to for the Nikon?
