Does anybody have to sell the variable condenser for an Omega D6 (or any D-series) 4x5 enlarger? It is the moveable lens in a square metal frame. I recently bought a D6 enlarger and didn't realize until setting it up, that the variable condenser is missing (the 2 main condensers are present). I checked eBay but had no luck. According to KHB the part number seems to be Omega #472-105: auxiliary condenser lens assembly for the DV 4x5 Variable Condenser lamphouse. This is the variable condenser lens that is moved to different slots in the lamp house.
Thanks for any help

Rare as hens teeth.
I was looking at a D6 minus condensers until I realised how rare the condenser light source is.
I dumped a very old but good condition D2 because I could not find condensers.
EBay prices for enlarger parts are just for suckers!!

You can print without it if needed, it is not really essential. In fact, it needs to be removed when printing 4x5 negatives.

Interesting- I'll have to try printing a 6x6 negative with and without. Could have saved myself some trouble if I'd known this! I was able to find a kind soul willing to let me have just the variable condenser (albeit for a D2, not D6) which seems to work. Thanks to all who contributed.
