Want "Flat" Agfa Scala slides

I want to use Agfa Scala slides (positives) for making enlarged negatives using ortho film. I'll be sending the Scala film for processing, but don't want the highlights to deteriorate if I instruct the processors to pull the film. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Lyn

I have done this before with scala, just have them do a drop process. I would expose normal and run one sheet drop 1/4 , one sheet drop 1/2 and one sheet drop 1.

Image Works here in Toronto would do this for me, in fact we used 11x14 FP4 and it worked really well for flat enlarged dupes.

There is a lab in my town called dr5 [ www.dr5.com ]

The guy that runs the place is about as bright as i've seen in the lab business.

They process Scala but process almost every other B&W film as a slide, up to 11x14.

The results are quite amazing and I am surprised there is little talk about this service here, a truly "real" photographic process.

Great phone manner and personal service too.

When I don't feel like doing this hump-work myself, I take a ride down there. They are just south of downtown denver.

Thanks jt. I'm a bit far away (Australia), but have been emailing Stuart at Main Photo on the west coast. He has been very helpful. The dr5 site looks good too. We lost our only Scala process lab last year, and postage from here to the US and back adds quite a cost. Will need to tackle the interpositive stage...it's sounds so messy though!
