Hi!
When I bought my enlarger kit it came with a Wallner MC-505 (process timer and ... something). Since I found it cheap somewhere on Ebay I also got myself a Wallner CA-516 which is a color analyzer and connects to the MC-505.

Now, I've used the 505 in manual mode to do quite a lot of prints this past week. It's an easy to use timer and I like it for that. But since it also does measurements (I still don't know exactly what it measures) I would like to maybe use it to the full potential. What I am even more interested in is the color analyzer. I've found the german manual for MC-505, but even with google translate I still can't understand how and what it is supposed to do. Here are the manuals if anyone speaks German and can help me (one is a "quick start guide" the other is full manual): http://www.wolfgangschmitz.de/manual/
I can't find any manuals anywhere for the CA-516 sadly.

Below is a picture of these two (on the left you can see both the measurement probes).

If anyone owns one of these and/or knows how to operate them... please help 😅

The MC 505 is a metering enlarger timer and a process timer.

At the CA 509 there are 4 calibration settings to make and to choose from, similarly as with the MC 505.

At the CA 516 one could aquire an indefinte number of memory modules to store a calibration setting on and then exchange those modules.

That is one part that I have figured out as well. But how do you calibrate it and how do you then use it to get the correct color?

A few weeks ago I answered same question, even got a reply on it, but the whole thread seems to have vanished.
