Apparently the Walgreens near my mother's house can process slide film. I asked the guy there and specifically said E6, he says they are the only Walgreens in the county that can do it. Unfortunately, they can't do Kodachrome

If this is true, and I will find out this week, then you all might want to check up on your local Walgreens and see if they can do it too.

I would take that with a grain of salt. They are probably just trying to keep business in their store.
The local Rite Aid here advertises 1 hour processing, but in fact its just a Fuji kiosk that can do prints from exisiting negs, they send film out for processing.

My Local Rite-Aid does C-41 in the store in less than an hour. They are not playing games either, they print on Fuji Crystal Archive. All their equipment is Noritsu, they have the Fuji kiosks as well, but even those can print to the Noritsu so you can get a D printed onto Crystal Archive as well.

E-6 is send out and takes about 2 weeks, they send it to Fuji who in turn (I believe due to packaging and markings) send it to Dwain's.

The local CVS can do one hour in house as well, but after the time they said they could not send out E-6, but it should process just fine in their machine as long as it was 35mm film I have not gone back.

If your Walgreens said it would take a couple of weeks, I would bet they are sending it to Fuji as well.

I have a roll of Elite Chrome 100 I'm going to drop off tomorrow, I have been developing my vast hoard of 35mm lately and have almost finished all my C41, which will leave me black and white and E6. I found an APS roll in my storage unit from probably 15 years ago and got it done. massive color shifts but there's one good panorama, they were shot on a Samsung compact which I still have to this day.

The Walgreens near my house that's doing all my 35mm uses Noritsu equipment as well. Definitely not messing around, everything I've gotten done this week reflects that. All my Portra 160vc looks beautiful. Expect some postings tonight.

The CVS around the corner from me processes C-41 in store. They do a really good job. One of the managers like film so that helps. I use them for regular shots and reserve the custom lab in town for more specialised things.

It always depends on the individual lab. I've had results ranging from disastrous to more than good enough at CVS, Walgreens, and Rite-Aid. Walgreens has been the best over all, though.

I would never take "important" film to any of these places, though.

Yeah the guy who does my film at Walgreens has a Leicaflex. He has rang up every one of my rolls as 24exp. when almost all of them are 36.

my local Sam's club, (Clearwater FL store) will process C-41 35 mm in house. i get them to develope to "CD" only. it costs me less than $4.00 a roll total. the bad news is they are only one of the few that still offer this service in my area. they keep telling me they will be swiching to a "dry" lab only in the near future, but so far i hsve been lucky to have the service.

A local Walgreen couldn't possibly be doing enough E6 processing to support the constantly aging/replenishment the chemicals go through. I'll bet they send all E6 to Dwaynes in Parsons, Kansas. John
