I am researching making a lens with volumetric memory technology since 1995. I mean that creating a lens not only changing its curvature or index but creating structures in it for to get better result.
I could not read something about this technology . But I found something interesting , negative index lens.
I looked to bilkent university from Turkey and I found there that they make a negative index lens with placing thin rods as a cage in plastic.
Can these thin rods be created in mass , volume by focused radiation beams ?
As our master from norway said indexes will be different and radiationed plastic will be like metal rods.
I got disclosure document about this from us patent office at 1996 but it remained silent until today .
I will ask to bilkent also.
This is really interesting.

tangential rays with oblique paths through the optical nodal point in a semi-finite matrix of partially colllapsed point diffractors make this an NP-complete computational exercise if a Penrose-tiled random finite element grid is used to compute adjacent cell differences. QED
