I recently purchased an old Voigtlander Prominent with a locked up Synchro-Compur shutter. The inner blades will move freely(and tend to rest ever so slightly open) when I manually move the mechanism on the left side of the camera, but the outer blades remain in the same position. Film advance and shutter release are also frozen.

Anyone know anyone who will repair these? I contacted someone mentioned in an old thread on Photo.net and he's out of the repair biz. I've got another guy locally I could go to, but he's pushing 90 and doesn't do much work anymore. I've heard these shutters aren't super easy to work on, so I'd rather not attempt it myself, and the camera is valuable enough to warrant a decent repair and CLA.

Doesn't Chris Sherlock service this from NZ? Wouldn't be any harm to contact him.

On another note,I'm no expert but have you been able to trip the shutter directly from the lens. On the left as you face the from of the camera.

I can move that mechanism back and forth, and it will open and close the inner leaves of the shutter, but not the outer leaves, and there is no tension on this mechanism at all.
