For Sale Voigtlander Portrait Euryscop 4A from EU

Hello all !


Up for sale is my beloved Voigtlander Portrait Euryscop series III no.4A lens. This lens was made for whole plate and 8x10 format plates. It`s about 275mm and f4,5. It`s sharp , contrasty and gives you a beautiful fall-off. Great lens for wet plate shooting or any other type of photography.

Glass is in very good almost pristine condition. Lenshood is not a perfect circle, but you will not have any troubles to fit a proper lens cap for it ( cap not included ). Front achromat stucked in the hood, but still can be cleaned because it comes out easly from the tube ( with hood in pair ). All the other threads are easly unscrewed.

Lens comes with original mounting flange and 2 Waterhouse stops ( about f8 and f11 ) - not sure if they are original , no markings on them, but they fit perfectly and smooth. The lensboard is not for sale and stays with me.

..lens is still for sale. I made today a sample shot with it. It`s a clear glass 1/2 plate ambrotype. Notice swirl and sharpness of the skull. With this lens you can have best from the both worlds. Lens intended for Whole Plate / 8x10. Second shot is clear glass ambrotype again, but on Whole Plate at portrait distance.
