Loading the reels takes a very short period of time.
About 2 - 3 minutes per roll of dark time - often less.
Setting things up, and then taking everything away afterwards is just a few minutes more, and is done in room light - there are no issues if you are interrupted during those steps.
I just check with my wife that she is okay if the bathroom isn't available for the next 5 minutes.

An uncoated Heliar would show lower contrast even if clean, so for colour perhaps a contrasty film like Ektar would work better. With black and white it's easy to compensate and add contrast when developing the film or printing. Flare is different, though, but using a lens hood helps a lot.

I have the 9x12 and 6,5x9 Bergheils.

Thank you for this Matt. I am sure it will take me longer at first, but it is good to know that not much time is required.

This is very helpful. Thank you for these suggestions!

I saw a 4x5 adapter on Thingiverse for an Avus and had the pieces printed. The part next to the camera didn't fit my Bergheil but I had a new adapter plate made (took 2 tries) and the other parts fit OK. This gives me the ability to use 4x5 film, which I was already set up to develop (I use a SP-445 tank). I'll probably adapt or have printed 9x12 holders for the tank if I ever accumulate enough plate holders, but I only have one that fits right now.
