I have 2 Avus 9x12 cameras. One has a shutter that is not working. The other is fine, except that the front element has some haze between the lenses. For now, I don't have the courage to clean it. So I wonder if I can expect the 2 front elements to be interchangeable between the 2 cameras with no loss of image quality?

(Numbers on the front lenses are 447318 and 618248.)

Should be no problem! (I take it we are talking abt. two Skopar 4,5/13,5 cm lenses in same type of shutter?)

You just have to be sure the shutters are of the same type then, i.e. that they look identical.
(The technical parlance would be they should both be either dial-set Compurs or rim-set Compurs. But if they look identical don't worry about these language technicalities).
