Voightlander M lenses?

When Cosina first started releasing Voigtlander lenses they were a great deal. Most of them were compact and they had sufficient image quality, especially for the price. Some of the early gems like the 28 f/3.5 are not worth the money they sell for nowadays. Now they are a lot more expensive. A few of the lenses haven't changed except for the mount and the price (Nokton 1.5). Lots of gouging going on (if you want a 90mm for example) from the importer because they are all-of a-sudden-artificially rare. When they started making more "exotic" lenses I lost interest in them. I would rather get a Zeiss or a Leica. Optically Voigtlander lenses are kind of bland, but that is only my opinion. The best deal in lenses are in the older Leica designs if you like the "old" look, or modern Zeiss lenses if you want something optically extraordinary.

I am getting these very characteristically shaped flares with the 35/2.5 PII when shooting with the sun just outside the frame in spite of using the original bayonet lens hood. It is almost kind of a "trademark" sign of the lens. I am wondering if it has to do with the shiny chrome filter threads. Maybe I should use an empty (no glass) black filter mount to cover them. I also have the Summarit 35, which is a much better lens in this respect, but of course it is also three times more expensive!

Not had that with either of the LTM 35mm /2.5 variants. They will flare with sun in lens like the top right corner.
But seen worse with Leica lenses you need to pony up the $ to get the real Leica glow.
Sold the Leicas.
Sold the ZMs as well.

You get a good on the Leica and Zeiss lenses when you sell them confirmed.
