Hi all,

has anyone of you used the Vivitar 2x teleconverter for the Pentax 6x7 mount? What is your impression of this one, how does it perform? Is the degradation of image quality visible/limiting? And are there any issues using certain combination of lenses and this TC (as I know esp. the short lenses can't be used with the standard Pentax TC, except for the latest one)?

Thanks for your answers...

Why?

Why would you want to put an inferior product on such wonderful glass?

The simplest of answers... the price.

If I find one from Pentax for a reasonable price, I wouldn't hesitate a moment. Otherwise I want to know if I'd be throwing money out of the window with the Vivitar (or Kenko)...

Dont bother. The latest pentax 67 TC's are some of the best TC's I have ever used.

You can find them on ebay for reasonable.

Dont expect any decent results out of a Vivitar 2x TC
