Well... they're our negatives/prints, so why can't we do as we wish with them? I really don't want to lumber my kids with piles of negatives. One day, I'll leave a few of my favourite images for them, if they're interested...

Just tell your kids that you won't mind if they use them, destroy them or do whatever they want with them.
By the way Andrew, while I'm older than you, if you go first, I'd be chuffed to have them

while we are on this topic.. I have conversations with Nigel Dickson one of Canada's great portrait photographer, and he would like me to be the guardian of his film if he kicks it earlier than expected. He would like to
see income for his family and he does not want the burden put on his wife... I hope I can do this for him with my new gallery mission

I'm guessing you are not hoping he kicks it earlier than expected! :D
He was a long time smoker so that is an issue for him... He wants his work to keep on pass his time so yes kind of important we make some prints that he signs .

He could sign several thousand sheets in the darkroom and you would have years of paper to print on and continue to make the popular ones.:outlaw:
Edit: just in case of misinterpretation, this is a joke

I’m not a recognition whore.

I do not care for recognition because recognition finds you, It is not you who finds recognition.

Vivian? She was maybe a gear whore but not a recognition whore.

If you're serious about this you should tell your friend to put that in writing in the form of a trust document. General Graphic Services once did that service for Ansel and dozens of others..there was a formal trust document, written up by a qualified (i.e. trust/estate) attorney.

Back to the Robot issue.
It was a surprise for me too this picture, but it makes sense. I also use my Robot Star for candid street photos. No issue with charging the camera between shots, and if you press the shutter button and wait to release the pressure, there is no noise at all. A real stealth camera. And square format like the Rolleiflex. If you print on A4 paper, image quality is good - depending on the film.
