Classic Leica M3 Double Stroke sold As Is

This 1957 vintage M3 is in good condition, with normal signs of wear. The shutter however is jammed and will need to be sent in for service. Therefore the camera is sold AS Is. From the photos you can see there are a couple of dings to the top plate, and the vulcanite is missing in small corner patches. Bottom plate has wear from tripod. RF is reasonable clear with RF patch bright and contrasty.

Serial number #886 XXX indicates this M3 was made in Canada in a small batch of only 300 cameras. This M3 is the 3rd type Double Stroke version, with modern shutter speeds, re-wind knob with two red dots, triangular strap lugs and metal film pressure plate. The body has the lens frame preview lever and self timer.

Comes with Leica Meter MR (not tested but clean and with meter instruction booklet, original M3 instruction manual (1957) and copy of M3 Flash Guide. Has original case and after market body cap.

With proper servicing this M3 DS would make a great user camera. Price $399.00 plus shipping

Classic 50mm F2 Rigid Summicron Lens

50mm f/2 Rigid Summicron Lens with original Leica front cap. Made in Germany 1957. This lens is in good shape with clean optics, smooth focus and clean diaphragm blades. Has slight haze on the inside, one or two cleaning sleeks, nothing major. Outside lens barrel looks great, lens mount likewise. This lens is hard to find in original and excellent condition. Price: $399.99 plus shipping
