Vintage Eastman View 2D 5x7 (serial # 121082) w/ 7inch Goerz Dagor lens and Crown No. 2 tripod. Born July 28, 1922 (# 232 of 250 made that year). Lens elements are clean and clear, with one small internal speck that makes no difference. Bellows are supple and light tight. Lens board is new (old one had a corner missing). Comes with 7 film holders (Eastman Kodak) and a partial box (10 shts) of FP4+ (exp. Jan 2020). Holders are old wooden style but still light tight and functioning fine. Compound shutter CLA’d by Flutot’s Camera (2/19:$122) and includes her list of corrected shutter speeds.
As you can see from the photos, this camera is in remarkable shape for its age. This camera kit came from Schiller Camera in St. Louis (tag on front standard) and I believe lived its whole life in that area. I got it from the owner’s son when the owner passed years ago. I always intended to use it more but never quite gave it the attention needed. It has never been refinished, just wiped off. The tripod came with it and I believe has been a kit from the beginning. I have put Lexol leather conditioner on the bellows but, that’s about it. I have exposed about 10 sheets of film through it in the years that it has been mine.
This camera needs a home where someone will use it or just admire it! I have never made the leap from 4x5 to 5x7 and I doubt I ever will! I am selling this as a complete outfit and am now asking $650 including shipping in CONUS (international at cost). Cameras of this condition don’t come often. PayPal, check, or Money Order.
