On Youtube you can find a fight between Rocky Marciano and Joe Walcott.
A seriously tough and demanding fight for both men.
Marciano once said it was his toughest ever fight.


I watched it last night though I was seriously distracted by the rows of 4x5 cameras lined up at the foot of the ropes by the press photographers.
I couldn't make out the models, but very interesting watching them work.
Seemed like two 4x5 loaded cameras each. One exposure then change the film holder rapidly, always having a camera with an unexposed sheet ready for the next shot.

Worth a quick watch just for the nostalgia.

Bob, as it was the U.S. I 'd have thought there is a very good chance that they were all "Speeds". A slightly comical name given that all such cameras were slow in most senses of the word due to the nature of LF cameras

I must admit that I had never noticed the spare cameras but it makes total sense when you consider that at the crucial time in a boxing match a lot can happen in a very short time

Rocky Marciano's fighting style reminds me of Rocky Balboa. Maybe Rocky M had seen the Rocky B films - all 45 of them - and had adopted Rocky B's style
