Thatcham is in Berkshire UK.
I also have been lurking in this fantastic site for the last couple of weeks. What a joy, no digital.
I have been frequenting photo.net for some time but have been dissapointed by the lack of film users.
I am male aged 46 and only got intrested in film about 3 years ago when I purchased 3 B&W prits from a UK photographer, Alan Hunter based in Poole, Dorset (he won Ilford B&W photographer award Not sure what year)
Last year I started to develop my own film & have just recently started to do some printing at a local camera club.
Work & family (partner + 4 year old boy Ellis & 7 month old girl Lulu) restrict time in darkroom but loving it.
Cameras = Canon T70 with 50mm lens
Nikon F65 with 70-300 mm lens
Mamiya C330f with 80mm lens
The Mamiya is a recent E bay purchase & I love it.
Favourite photographers are Jeanloup Sieff and Jean Francois Jonvelle.
My main interest people photography.
Looking forward to some great advise/discussion.
Vince

Hi Vince and welcome.

I'm a big fan of Jeanloupe Sieff's work myself. Up untill recently my walls were adorned with his nudes. Very tastfull stuff indeed. Have you ever come accross any of his landscapes?

I was watching that Mamiya myself. Good to see that its gone to a good home. I look forward to seeing some of your work.

Regards

Stoo

Welcome from Lancashire. Not a member of the Mamiya club but like you I'm 47 with two youngsters and know how hard it is to get some free time. Are you going to make the trip to the Ilford factory?

Hi Vince,
welcome from the Santa Monica Mountains in Southern California!

Welcome, Vince. I note you are slowly working towards a 'proper' camera, and at the rate your going you'll be making 10x8 contact prints in a few years!

surely London is "the big smoke!"

Hi from Melbourne... Australia!

The Mrs and I lived in Langley, "Barkshire" for most of '96
