Vignetting, or something similar

Hello everyone! This is my first post.

I went out and shot a roll with my newly acquired Mamiya DSX1000. And when I got the negs back and scanned them I noticed something on some of my shots. Only when I used either f11 or maybe f16 (as it was an extremely sunny day) I got something that looked like vignetting, except it is in the bottom middle of the frame. See below:

This only occured on the frames that were exposed at f11 or f16. If there was going to be vignetting, I would expect it to be at a wide open aperture, not at f11. It must be something else, but I don't know what!

I am using the Mamiya 55mm 1.4 lens that was available with these cameras originally. Is it something I can get fixed in the lens, or should I just go to ebay and find another lens?

Boy that almost looks like the shutter blades are out of their tracking and sticking causing interferance, you should be able to take the lens off of the camera, set your aperture look through it at a bright light and stop it down, then you would be able to see what is occuring in the lens..

You can also look through the back of the camera with the shutter open on B & check for something hanging in the film aperture or from the mirror.
Sometimes the manufacturer would use a cloth as a light shield & it will pop out of place.

Well, as it turned out, there were two small pieces of some vinyl type material glued under the mirror. They were starting to peel loose, and hence, the "German Shepherd Ears" were showing up in my photos. I'm not really sure what purpose these things serve. Maybe to weigh the mirror down a bit? Who knows? Anyway, I will re-glue those babies down and I shouldn't have any more problems.
