Thanks. A nicely done, if bittersweet, piece on the photographic derrière garde we live in.

A sad commentary... as though we were already footnotes in the history of image making.

What is really sad , to me at least is that this photographer believes the darkroom and printers are extinct. Even commercially there are still labs making prints, some of the workflow has changed to subsidise the enlarger work but we are still using the same equipment you see in this project.
Our darkroom is extremely busy and I have no plans of shutting it down.
I guess when the diapers come and I cannot remember to put on my shoes the day will come but for now it pretty safe.

I should add , maybe the Tetley Tea words may be common** Only in Canada you say**

Enjoyable and also sad. From over 200 darkrooms to only 6 during the life of the project is sad, indeed.

I might go down to see this exhibition. A friend is keen to take part in the other part of the show; cutting your own vinyl record. Sounds like fun.

Printing your own photographs is slowing becoming a fine art process. It's heading in the direction of lithography and etching. After 30 years of printing, it still hasn't lost it's magic.
