Corners are fine for tiny prints; but if displayed, need a top mat window even smaller, to hide the edges. And yeah, you can potentially switch prints out if they're the same overall size. More an album thing, in my opinion.
I used a certain amount of RC paper for my commercial portfolios.

The rare times I want a very gloss print I use RC, I use Foma papers, works well. For the most when I want a print on the wall I want a semi matt, don't want glare. I think to get a very high gloss you need a plate. I guess if is important to a look you want you can have large steel plate chromed. Not sure what it would cost.

I use RC Fomaspeed also, they are economical option, not too expensive, and they are really good quality.
On 50x60cm size I use RC almost exclusively, because my darkroom is pretty small, and it handles easier. All my prints are just for me, as I don't do anything commercial.

Right now I'm working with some EMaks graded. It has the glossiest surface I've ever seen on a FB paper. Allegedly the gelatin was pig derived, rather than bovine. But when it's gone, it's gone. One more classic paper already discontinued.
