Gotta love those "Sell it on Ebay stores." If anyone saw the "40-year old virgin" it is one of the stores like the one owned by the female lead.

Not sure about your question but here goes:

I just mean that the person creating the post has no idea that the two are not compatible. Its funny how the camera leans on an angle.

The reference to the store is just that--how funny it is that a third party is selling this for someone and between the two of them, they have no idea what they have.

Yes, but therein lies the opportunity for a knowledgable buyer.

While the two may be incompatible they are both can be resold; possibly at a higher aggregate total than the initial purchase price. Once, while between real jobs, I spent a few months buying ham stations on eBay (a lot of old timers were not interested in selling off individual pieces of gear - too time consuming) and making a small profit selling off individual "pieces".

Wouldn't call it a "living" but realized it could be a fun "profitable" past time for say a retiree etc. who enjoys the auction "game"....

So if you have the time and patience - these naive "I Sold It" sellers can be an excellent source of supply!

Ahh... I see. Not as funny as the guy who opened all his enlarging papers boxes to show that his stock was in good condition, though.

I've seen many similar "isold" it listings, they seem to not have the slightest clue about anything they sell. It's great for buyers though!

They had a beautiful, new in box LPL 7700 enlarger that was listed as a "JPL" without the word enlarger in the title, so there was almost no interest. I tried bidding on, but was cancelled because I'm not in the US. It sold for somewhere around $80 + shipping... I was willing to pay a fair bit more than that! Isoldit is a joke! hahaha

eBay has become a good place to buy commodity stuff and fairly obscure stuff, but I don't buy camera gear there anymore. KEH is a lot more predictable and no more money unless one gets lucky and finds a very badly-listed auction.

I buy on Ebay all the time, and I thank the good lord, that people don't know what they are talking about, I am always getting great stuff that would have cost me a fortune, if I didn't know what I was buying, no problem with me, if they don't know, I sure do! with many camera things, it is a buyers paradise now a days!

If it weren't for Ebay I couldn't have bought the amount of gear that I own and use on a grad student budget.

As a sort of bottom feeder, I filled out my Bronica S kit and Fuji 690 kit mostly through eBay; it's very rare to find examples of either of those two anywhere else. But buying something normal, like Nikons, is sometimes trouble.
