I've come across something odd. My Durst M605 has a Hammond 19v transformer with stickers on the front to show it was made for the M605 Color. The bulb it uses is an EKG 19v bulb.

Research has shown that the COLITRA 35 and the TRA-305N are both 12v transformers and I assume need to use a 12v projector bulb.

Does anyone know of this difference ? I believe the Hammond powered enlarger was originally purchased new in Canada. The Hammond is labelled as made in Mississauga, Ontario.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Hi Ron, I have the same M605 color as you and EKG bulb and Hammond transformer are right one. Why voltage is different, I have no idea, but it works. Maybe it was the importer transformer of choice in Canada. Right now my M605 is in storage but I have this tiny picture of it to show you.

Hi Gorbas, yes that's just like the Hammond one I have.
The socket looks a little different though.

I have the TRA-305N as a spare. Will likely need the 12v bulb if I ever need to use it.
